Written for a contest using words: empty pages tainted hands pen writing soul words
Relinquishing my pride, I lay it all on the line
Even as I hunch over these blank pages, remorse weighs on me
Desperately I write my sins in blood and
Empty my heart of all its secrets, oh how badly I want you to forgive me
My tainted hands write soulfully…deeply
Praying that you can relate…understand
These words spill from my soul, a never ending flow
I beg that my writing falls on a fertile heart
Open arms and gentle hands
Now with these words, I gain strength with every stroke of my pen… my talisman
