Eternal Love
After breath is gone,
when I reach my promised due;
I shall come back - drawn
to be with you.

Together
we will share earth’s joys we missed;
you will find me in hot weather,
when your face feels cool and kissed.

You may not realize my fingers
as they play with your hair.
Do not look for me when your dark lingers,
I will not be there.

I shall be careful as I hold you close.
So when songbirds sing, believe I hear.
Recall how this tender rhyme goes,
I shall be near.
