Will I Never See You Again
A dark poem about dealing with the loss of someone not as close as I wish. |
-Will I Never See You Again- by Keaton Foster You are dead Gone Forever misplaced Rotten from all Sense and shape Reduced to nothing In every possible way Will I never see you again In heaven or hell Is living all that we had Our time on earth together Our precious chance to connect Strangers we easily became Lending me life meant nothing Distance was your only concern And now you have it The greatest possible divide The space between life and death An ever-expanding widening certainty I will miss you as I always have I will mourn you and what we've never had Suffering is my case Hate was your only way I tried to love you when you were alive I tried to bind the wounds inflicted Such grievous injuries could not be rescinded Now you are dead and nothing has changed Neither time nor state lends a solution to our ways Will I never see you again Such a question is all that I have left I am sure that the answer Will do nothing to change our fate And the way in which we relate… Will I Never See You Again Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2012. |
