My Christmas Celebration
Rated: E | Poetry | Religious | #1867690
This is a poem that I wrote for Christmas last year, describing my Christmas celebration.
The cool winters' wind
Softly blows outside.
It's Christmas Eve
And we go for a ride.

Meme and Papa
We'll go to first,
Then read the story
of Jesus' birth.

We have Christmas dinner
then gather 'round the tree
"Who's first?" they'll ask.
All together "Oh me!!"

After gifts are all open
Jonathan gets his guitar.
We sing songs about wise men
who followed a star.

Wake up the next morning
and it's Christmas Day.
We run and grab stockings
from right where they lay.

A few hours later
Nanny and Papa arrive.
Our cousins come next,
So far they did drive.

Before opening gifts
Nanny has a book to read,
'Twas the Night Before Christmas,
that's tradition to me.

But, through all the gifts
and the lights hung up high.
Let's never forget
the true reason why.

We celebrate Christmas
because our Savior was born
and without Jesus Christ
Chrismas would be no more.
