My Immaculate Dream
Some poems I really strive to push the boundaries of my idea. |
-My Immaculate Dream- by Keaton Foster Perfect in every way Greater than the day Darker than the night Absoluteness enshrined Encased within this mind Beyond the conscious Hyperbole of my plight Inside twisted out Outside broken of doubt Fearing nothing when I escape Into the nether regions of sleep An immaculate dream That for me must be real Out there somewhere not seen Inescapable to me Unimaginable to all who refuse The concepts I dare bleed Far beyond my life Far beyond my needs When I close my eyes When I drift into the wild I see it quite clear A creature devoid of fear A beastly aberration Bound by nothing known Initially imagined by me Now such a dream lives Behind the folds of my eyes Taken in from the cold Returned from the depths Given a place to exist The wilderness of id Within the fractured Construct of my head All that intend to attack Will easily be repelled All that wish me further pain Will be feverishly consumed My hunger knows no bounds My strength is unchallenged Nothing can hurt me Under any celestial indicator Under any condition Or tediously spelled out predicament That I might find myself in My immaculate dream is strong Empowering and wise It shows me just enough It breaks the back of denial With a sledgehammer of hope It is leading me somewhere A place that I do not know A place that up until now I was certain I would never go… My Immaculate Dream Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2012. |
