The Way Home
Rated: E | Short Story | Experience | #1868544
Just a thought that came to me. I hope you will like it.
Derek was a serviceman of whom served faithfully in the Air Force. He had sixteen hundred hours of flight time. He was a good man and a Christian. He felt so close to God up in his plane. He was right at home with the sky above him and in front of him. He was a good officer. He was liked by most of the men there on the base.

He was called to active service when he was eightteen years old. He wanted to join the Air Force. So that is what he did. It was a great thing to benig in there. He had never married but was a lady's man for sure

Everything was going fine for Derek up until the war happened. He went to war and was shot down by the enemy. He was wounded for his country. It came time for him to be sent back to the States. He left unwillingly for he loved to fight for his country.
Derek conceeded to go home to the States.

There was something that happened along the way. He was pushed around by some thugs and was beaten rather badly. He had very little money on his persson. That is what they were after. The thugs wore ski masks so they wouldln't be identified. They wore their gloves to cover up their fingerprints. They had all the bases covered. But Derek remembered their voices and through that was able to put the thugss behind bars.

His way home was safe after that and the ones at home to cheer him on had put ribbons on the trees and balloons out for Derek. It was a safe and happy reunion that happened. There was a lot of love to go around and Derek was happy to be home.
