Monsters Of Men
Rated: E | Poetry | Adult | #1868649
A way out there poem about mankind and how it refuses to accept things that go against.

-Monsters Of Men-

Keaton Foster

*Vignette5* *Vignette5* *Vignette5* *Vignette5* *Vignette5*

Beastly beckoning
Feverishly devouring
Such all-consuming bastards
Monsters of men
Gods of undeniable sin
They claim not to know
With regard to all that they are doing
If that was so, if that were the case
Then why do they continue
Why do they destroy far more
Than they could ever build
Why is their world crumbling down
A message is hidden for them to find
But only if they look deep inside
They are perplexed as to what is being said
How could any of this be about them
Continually lacking confidence with regard to
The true meaning of such an expression
Ignoring and ignorance
Are certainly not the same thing
They must choose to hear
They must know what they wish
Born to know
Bred to twist and contort
They can always make due
Monsters of men easily they will do
Whatever it takes to survive, to get by
There is no hiding
Always residing in plain sight
Monsters of men
Doing what they wish
What they feel they can
Be assured that in the end
All will be revealed as true
All that is real and absolute
Will easily find its way into the core
Of their slanted view…
