This is a poem I wrote for my fiance when I found out I was pregnant.
Inside my body grows a little child
For me to love and to hold
And hope they’re not wild
Though times may prove trying
I’ve no need for crying
And nothing to fear
Because no matter how hard
I know you’ll be here
When the going gets rough
You’ll stand strong and true
One of the reasons I’ll only love you
