Melody of Love

There is a reason I can't stand to be away,
as you come home, and I just start my day.
Heading off to work, I leave you fed.
Later after dark you go to bed.

I want to call, but fast asleep you are,
as I'm at lunch, just sitting in my car.
Eight o'clock and I just miss you so,
and here I have four more hours to go.

Now it's home for me, in time to wake you up.
Soon I kiss you, handing off your coffee cup.
With lunch in hand, its now to work for you,
as I crawl in bed, moping and feeling blue.

When you return, my smile lights the way,
as you hold me in your arms, I hear you say,

"There is music playing when you are near.
It's a tune, that only you and I can hear.
Its a sound that filters down from up above,
It is our song, The Melody of Love"
