|I peer around the corner and see mothers tears flowing like rivers,
the marks on her face turning a sickly purple,
her screams echo in my head,
piercing my soul.
I try to make it stop,
make him stop but hes too big for me,
then he makes my screams as loud as hers,
which only makes her scream louder.
She tries to comfort me,
that only makes it worse,
I should be comforting her.
Pain, all inclussive, washes over me as his fists rain down on my twelve year old body. I scream... So loud that nothing comes out,
It hurts to cry because my ribs are bruised.
She screams again,
he gets angrier the more we scream,
it feels like it will never end.
I just wish he would hurry up and kill me,
It does end and I dont die but the pain is worse the day after, and soon...
The pain goes away too, the handfull of screams however, never go away.
They follow and haunt me, long into the night, till finally I fall asleep, the screams are there too... Forever chasing me.
