I held you in my arms
So small, tucked safe and warm
My sisters son,
I would give my life for yours.....
Never before have I felt this.
With your mother's soul and your father's heart,
You will travel through this life unafraid.
I watch, hoping the best,
fearing the worst.
You grow,
and I watch you become the young man who can change the world with one touch.
You inspire me to be the influence that makes you become that man.
You will stand against the harshness the world will bring you,
With each breath you draw, you become stronger.
And with each of mine, I will be there with you, hoping my guidance will help you,
