Listen to the Wind
Rated: E | Poetry | Inspirational | #1870471
A rare moment of optimism and clarity.

May your hopes be real and your dreams come true
May your heart never fail at guiding you
If ever you find you've lost your way
Or looking for a place to stay
Look towards the starry sky

And listen to the wind.

When you don't know where to turn
You will ask and you will learn
Time will pass and seasons turn
Be surprised at what you earn
See the clouds up in the sky

And listen to the wind.

Feel the ground beneath your feet
Taste the freedom bittersweet
Smell the deep and pleasing scent

And listen to the wind.

Scorching heat and burning cold
Memories you cannot hold
Looking for someone to save you
But no one will come!

Wander through the empty land
Searching for a single strand
Of hope that you may find someone--
But you never will!

Back behind the farthest hill
Where the air is standing still
nothing moves and nothing stirs

Because there is no wind

Strike the air and with your eyes
See the dark and swirling skies
You bring light and you bring life
You are now the wind!

You must learn to trust yourself
Listen to the wind.
