Angels Fight and Fall
Poem about the Angels fight in heaven and their fall to earth. Rough draft, not complete. |
| Twisting, soaring, turning, falling, burning, Angels descend from the Mount by the hordes. Heavens gates are thrown wide open, As battling Good fights Evils yearning. The plan had only just gone awry, When Satan’s ego pushed him early to declare. His separation from Throne and King, Nothing left to lose, he grips his sword as final reply. He charges the Throne with enraged scream, His plan to strike a deadly blow. A King and God to overthrow, His sword glints and whips the wind into a brilliant gleam. Not even close! Michael roared, From behind the enemy he launched attack. Fast as lightening Satan swung around, Dropping sword on exit flight from his Lord. To the Mountain of our God, These fallen launched their fight. But even as more fell or dropped To earthly realm and hidden abroad. The battle waged on long day and night, Heaven purged all evil in its path. Freed itself to earth’s dismay, As darkness falls and covers our sight. I’ll not leave you in darkness, our God thunders down. I’ll send my Son to spread heaven’s light. He’ll plant a seed in human hearts, Completing my work his head will wear the crown. He came in human form to preach, To bring the truth to man, so loved. A price so heavy, is paid quite freely, Jesus wept but endured to teach. The lessons learned on Life’s own Cross, Are harsh but joyous when valiantly fought. I’ve gained the foothold to heaven’s door, I’m flying in on the wings of the Albatross. My soul ascends and joins the fight inside the gate, All of Heaven seems to be embroiled. More have fallen, abandoning the light, Still from Gods Mount they fight their fate. Twisting, soaring, turning, falling, burning, Angels descend from the Mount by the hordes. |
