Hillbilly Heaven
by BIG E
Rated: E | Poetry | Western | #1872661
Southern music we use to call Country and Western back in 1967
I grew up rock n roll
But I got my country roots
I know Lynyrd Skynyrd
And I still wear cowboy boots

I've seen the Rolling Stones
And heard about blue suede shoes
It's deep down in our bones
Like Memphis and the blues

We lost Ronnie and Duane
But we'll always have Freebird
And songs about a midnite  train
And Preachers preaching the good word

We;ve come a long way from a jukebox
Like the one I remember back in 67
Behind closed doors by the Silver Fox
We we're living in Hillbilly Heaven
