The Inaction of Destruction

The dark clouds churned in the sky as the asteroid fragments rained down upon the Earth, vaporizing the lands with clusters of Tunguska events. Politicians pointed fingers, blaming each other just as they had before, arguing over who would pay for the rockets meant to divert the extraplanetary wanderers. Those space vehicles were never built.
