Short poem about being mildly depressed.
My inner voice grows quiet
No guidance from within
With each new breath I draw
I begin again
No progress to be made
As far as I can see
In this silent darkness
There is only me
I cannot see ahead
Nor can I see behind
This moment here and now
Is all that I can find
No promise of tomorrow
Or thoughts of yesterday
One step at a time
I forge my lonesome way
