Scarecrow's Comfort Food
by Twiga
Rated: E | Short Story | Food/Cooking | #1873664
Just a silly story about how all of us need comfort food.
He tore through the sandwich like a wild animal, chomp, chew, chomp chew.

'What's the point?' Scarecrow thought bitterly to himself 'It's not like I'll gain any weight.'

Jonathan Crane AKA The Scarecrow, had discovered this new fast food joint called Blub-O's some time ago, since then, it had become his favorite spot to get a bite to eat whenever he had escaped from Arkham.

Scarecrow had never really thought much about food in the past, he was frequently sent to bed without supper as a child so he came to get used to having a less then average amount of food in his belly.

But when he discovered Blub-O's something about him just...melted.

Scarecrow wasn't sure what it was that caused this new obsession with food. It could possibly be because of the death of that new therapist the only person who seemed to care about him, but Scarecrow didn't want to think about that.

He always ordered the same thing every time, a regular hamburger, a side of fries and a black coffee, he didn't need anything special, just the regular value meal and it was good.

Scarecrow had finished his burger and had started moving on to the fries, when he felt a presence near him.

"Indulging in some comfort eating, Jonathan?" A smarmy voice purred

"Oh shut up Edward." Jonathan growled

"It's all right." Edward Nygma AKA The Riddler said as he pulled up a chair and sat next to Jonathan, "I'm not going to judge you or anything but...Be careful all right? I mean with your bone structure, you'd look grotesque as an obese person."

"Edward, you know I can't gain weight." Jonathan muttered with some sadness.

Edward put his hand on his chin and watched his fellow villain gorge himself

"I worry about you Jonathan." Edward said "This new found interest in food wouldn't have anything to do with the death of that therapist? You know the one you knew from school."

"EDWARD!" Jonathan said in a harsh whisper "NOT NOW!"
