Top 3 Questions Candy Vendors Must Ask

Three important questions first time candy machine vendors must ask.
Three Questions First Time Candy Machine Vendors Ask

Operating a candy vending company of your very own can be a profitable and rewarding experience. It all depends on how much you are willing to put into your business and finding good locations with plenty of foot traffic. Until they invent a candy machine with wheels and a motor that can chase down customers, you have to have a location where there is plenty of people, and especially young people. Novelty and capsule machines do very well in almost any location and the standard gumball machine is always a popular choice. Most vendors just starting out ask themselves these three questions.

•          How will I find good locations?
•          How will I get permission to place my vending machines?
•          How much money can I make in machine vending?

Yes… Location

Finding a good location is a matter of paying attention. You must always be on the lookout for stores or gathering spots that have plenty of foot traffic. Places in which people are already going to spend money work very well but other places work as well. Some people prefer to hire a location service to help find locations for them. You are probably just as capable of finding good spots for your gumball and temporary tattoo machines so you may want to try your hand at it before you spend your money.

Communication Is The Key

There are a couple of viable ways to get permission from property and business owners for your gumball machines and all of them start with communication. Once you open up a dialog with the right person, it is downhill from there. You can attach yourself to a charitable organization for a small percentage of your profits. The charity will give you stickers or signs to place on your sticker, toy, or gumball machines and many store owners are happy to support charity by allowing you space. You can offer the store or property owner a small percentage as well, if you need to do so.

Show Me The Money

The amount of money you can make with candy machines will depend on three things. The most important aspect is location. Plenty of foot traffic means plenty of opportunity for sales. The second thing is how many gumball or capsule machines you plan to place in the public’s path. The third is how much time and effort you plan to put into your business. The important thing is to be smart as to what you vend and where. Candy machines and other vending products sell very well as long as there are plenty of people around to use them.
