Beautiful Bones
Rated: E | Poetry | Educational | #1874870
As creepy as bones may be, beauty lies within.
Bones are beautiful inside or out
Keeping us together is what they’re about.

Inside or out, strength, structure and form,
They carry us through from the day we are born.

White as snow, we all know
Inside or out, beauty does flow.

Small or large, round or flat,
Each one has purpose thin or fat.

Without any bones we all fall apart
So it’s easy to say God was so smart.

Beautiful bones to protect and hide
What supports life, all that’s inside.

Fear not my bones without muscle or flesh
They are quite funny when we make jest.

Skinny and light, holes here and there
No eyes to see or giving them flare.

Smiling teeth, always a grin
Chatter and clatter as they pretend.

All hidden inside makes me so fine
Just beautiful bones, and they are all mine.
