Interview with Francesca and Bryony
Me: Hey, how are you?

Bryony: Good thanks, you?
Francesca: I'm okay thanks (with a smile)

Me: Have you been up to much today?

Bryony: Not really. I had a lie in this morning then got up. I'm going for lunch with a few friends soon.
Francesca: I woke up pretty early really and left Bry in bed. I did a few things for work, a couple of activity plans, that sort of thing. Then I watched TV for a while before getting stuck into the housework.

Me: How long have you been together?

Bryony: Two years (smiles). We've been together for two years and living together for one, it's great.
Francesca: Yeah, great when you help out with the housework (shoots Bry a look).
Bryony: I'm not that bad!
Francesca: No you're not (smiles).

Me: So you two find living together okay?

Bryony: Yeah it's great. Sometimes Frankie gets on my back to do the housework (rolls her eyes). We have silly arguments over things like that, but who doesn't?
Francesca: Yeah that's pretty much how it is (nods) I think we work well together because we're quite different. We take our turns. I have a bit of OCD and struggle when the place is messy sometimes, but it's okay.

Me: What's your ideal holiday?

Bryony: I'm not one of those people who can sunbathe all day so take me somewhere to explore, even somewhere off the map.
Francesca: I don't really like flying so somewhere closer to home is great for me. I like to visit places in the UK, explore the countryside. But I know what Bry means about not sitting around, if we do go places we're always busy doing something.

Me: What is your biggest fear?

Bryony: I'm not scared of anything.
Francesca: Dogs. I'm terrified of them. Even the little ones.
Bryony: She is. Ony of my friends has a terrier and Frankie won't go near it.
Francesca: I was chased by a big dog when I was little and I can't stand to be around them now.

Me: Do you get on with your family?

Bryony: Yeah we get on great, when I see them. I have a big family and they all live up in Edinburgh. I left the nest when I went to college.
Francesca: For me, it's yes and no. My parents hate that I'm gay. When I first told them about it, my mam stopped speaking to me for a long time. That hurt (Bry rubs Frankie's leg). My dad eventually talked her around. I don't really see them much and even less when I'm with Bry. It's too awkward.
Bryony: One time we tried to have lunch with Frankie's parents. Her dad was fine, full of banter. Her mum barely talked. I don't think she could get her head around it.

Me: If you could change one thing about your life, what would it be?

Bryony: Nothing. Except for my job. It's alright but it's not what I want to do.
Francesca: I would ask my mum to accept me for who I am.
