Hunter At The Sea

short shots contest entry: my hound dog goes to the sea and has a ball with me.
HUNTER AT THE SEA

Hunter he finds paradise in the ocean and the shore,

I found him there one summer, and me he did adore.

Paradise in the evening, just around dusk,

Keeps my Hunter happy and he doesn’t make a fuss.

He is a jolly happy friend to me, I found him in the past,

This is one good friendship that I know will last.

The sun setting upon the water, while the breeze does gently blow,

While me and my hound Hunter, watch the water flow.

He runs ahead, nose to the ground, as quick as he can be,

He has become, for a lack of words, a creature to the sea.

I love my old hound hunter; he fishes with his teeth,

He claws the sand to find what might lie beneath.

Sometimes he plays in the waves, and bellows out a bark,

For all his antics and such, you'd think he saw a shark.

A more beautiful sight I never saw, than my Hunter at the sea,

Watching nature on the shore and my old hound going free.
