A young wizard embarks on a journey to save the love of his life.
How you did it...thank you!." she said. "I was so frightened." At that moment they veered into each others' eyes and both of them saLaden smiled and wept tears of joy. He embraced tightly and helped Caravine to her feet. "Laden, thank God I'me alive! I don't know w a reflection of their souls. Then there was a silence for about a minute. Suddenly Compass spoke in his annoying voice. "Oh, come on you two. Get a room! What can you do? Teenagers and their hormones," compass said.
Caravine was startled. "Where did that voice come from?"
"Oh, that's just my guide. Although looks like an ordinary rock, it's actually alive. Go ahead, talk to it."Laden said.
"Hello."
"Hello to you sweet stuff. No wonder why Laden came after you. You're quite pretty. How bout a kiss?"
"Sorry, I won't do that. You're not my type, or my species for that matter."
"Ah, elves have all the fun!" Compass said.
"Ok Compass, take us home," laden commanded.
"I don't think being in an elves' dress would be a good idea in this freezing weather."
"Oh, no! I totally didn't think of that?"
Compass spoke up "Not to worry half pint. You probably don't know that a dragons' magic remains even if it is dead. Laden use your sword and cut of part of its' horn of and place it and me on the ground next to each other." Laden did so and the horn piece turned into gold dust that entered Compass. He began to glow. In a green flash of light, they were back in Treewood. There standing in front of them was Master Lenin. “I see that your quest succeeded. I’m glad to see you Caravine. I can’t imagine how you feel about the townspeople for willingly gave you up.
“I just feel so betrayed and heart broken. My own mother wouldn’t look me in the eye,” she said as she started to cry. “Laden was the only other person who cared.” Caravine looked into Ladens’ eyes. “I saw the love in your eyes. I know that you would have taken my place in a second.”
“Oh gosh! More sappy love babble. It makes me sick,” said Compass.
“Well that’s’ it; the curse of the dragon is gone. Our town is safe,” said Laden
Master Lenin looked down as if something was still wrong. “Indeed,” he said in an unconvincing tone. “Well now that all is well, I have something to attend to,” master Lenin said quickly then walked away.
“What about Compass,” Laden yelled out to him.
“Hold on to him for a awhile,” he said after turning and facing the two teenagers. He then turned back in the direction he was going and muttered under his breath “You’re going to need it,” he said as a chill ran down his spine. Master Lenin shook his head as if he were trying to drive something disturbing from his mind.
