This is written to express someones feelings of having survived cancer.
                                                  A CUP OF HOPE
                                    BY LISA ANN NOE

Some like coffee some like tea,
I invite you to share a cup of hope with me.
I survived, as many will,
This frightening and horrific ordeal.
It seems to be somewhat surreal.

There’s largely some sorrow and greatly some pain,
But mostly there’s a good measure of hope.
There’s no time now, no time to mope.
The future brings with a reason to cheer,
Because I made it through another year.

Cancer they say has reason abound,
To bring with it tears and bring them out loud.
Pink ribbons and bows adorn my all
I shed tears for those who had to fall.
Sad tiding are these, I dare not say
For I live to fight another day.
