The Mystery of Me
Rated: E | Poetry | Other | #1875866
Written for a contest. I really don't know what it is.
Some people seem to scorn
My flamboyant way of life

They try yet fail to understand
The convoluted labyrinth of my mind

I pity all that do not know
The joy of having fun

Their lives are dulled by ersats
In the forms of money and fame

Life to them is constant
Mine is ebb and flow

Theirs forever does not change
I ride the wave of difference

My mind itself is polyglot
Of the many tounges of pleasure

They know the single language
The one that's known as greed

While others may not understand
Why I am so very strange

They need to know one single fact
I am who I want to be

Many try, and many fail
They theorize yet can't compute

They all think they can know my secret
But no one can solve the mystery

The mystery that is me
