For My Sister
After reading a letter from her |
| For My Sister The words jar shock my core. Deep inside my soul someone cries And I don't know why. I cannot see who it is whose sorrow Breaks, like that of slow moving bubbles on a surface calm, blue, loving, gentle. But, I can feel her pain- it moves through my heart neck and shoulders in waves. Grief becomes ambiguous. I am unable to pin down the shockwaves moving through a single thought Blasts into my awareness leaving me breathless. "This letter is one of those that say nothing." OH! but it does say something I hear your pain, illness anxiety, concern and love givingness. Never never say your words say nothing. They tell me who you are. |
