Deep Down
by Daniel
Rated: E | Poetry | Inspirational | #1877316
This poem is about the feelings and emotions deep down inside all of us.
There is so much more than just flesh and skin. Under all the blood and veins, deep inside, hidden within our complex brains, stored are the emotions, feelings, and all the pains. Bring them out, sometimes we may, or locked up, stored away, repressed and rarely felt are the emotions and feelings we tend to hide, like shields, they protect, like masks, they conceal, behind a wall they are standing still, pressed so stiff against these walls, afraid to move, scared to come on through. The heart has many secrets as well, hidden deep, sometimes cold and afraid, bottom of the well, these emotions, these feelings will lie, asleep, dormant, brought out only by anger, only by pride. All I can say, is please use these emotions, please release these feelings we lock away, don't be so afraid to be yourself, to live for the day. Emotions and feelings should never be hidden away.
