Love of Mine
Rated: E | Poetry | Romance/Love | #1878224
Poem about a relationship that you can't let go of , but know can only end badly.
Love of Mine.

Oh lover of mine,
just a friend you were for long a time,
your lips were never so appealing,
but now they feel divine,

It was an accident to fall so in love with you.
As deep down I know the truth.
You’ll only destroy me and take my youth,

Oh why are we attracted to things we know will hurt us?
Build us up and then desert us…
But how can I refuse such gentle lips…
Love of mine?
