My Love! The Light To Heaven
How sweet the sound to sing this hymn, God have mercy please, my humble plea.
|
I wake the midnight drowsy hour deaf the thoughts confused, who will save my soul? The devil laughing - “No need for prayers your God so confused, mysteriously disappearing.” I cried the prayer of faith there on my knees, shivering cold in the candlelight, hearing Gods voice - “Be holy as I am holy I cannot change the truth my grace sufficient today, come see my Son, Jesus he died for you lonely nailed to his cross. Rising with faith alone here in my garden green, we are one together in spirit far from devils dancing a trance, dark with thoughts dying alone.” Ashamed I hid these tears can’t remember a prayer or the last visit to a church. Communion bread and wine with those new members, why hugging me holding a cup of tea for undeserved forgiveness of life. Everything in our home has changed, the organ with healing notes in a song how sweet the sound to sing this hymn, God have mercy please my humble plea words before judgment day in our prayers, love the light shining on the gates to heaven. |
