Starlit Sky
Rated: E | Lyrics | Philosophy | #1879687
For colouring the world contest — the sky is beautiful...

you’re pressing into my mould
my soul registers you
we’re cradling under some form of bliss
and its scattered like seedlings
are we seedlings too?
in the vast emporium of a world
sinking into each other like ink in water

we’re possessed by cogitations
both you and I
and it goes beyond fairytale romance and folklore drama
which only highlight the precarious edges
and the sweet slices of things best savoured raw
and we quarrel and contain
like the night
and we are wise and thoughtful
like the night
and we illuminate and silhouette-dance
like the night

Night falls
Night rises
Night wings on
Night pours on
Night fits in
Night rings in

And the axis of planets
and the axis of our dance
go round and round
go round and round
The stars are waltzing
they are a orchestra
they sing in chorus
they sing individually
they are an opera
we are the witnesses
they are the audiences
we are perfect moulds
pressed two on two

my paradoxical heart is a meteor
walking on the clouds of the atmosphere
you’re a nearby satellite
wielding a pathway
and we run parallel
we run as one

fused to the stars
fused to the moon
night is so honest
producing wafts of light and darkness
Oh God I feel it!
this burst of quiet emotions
this subtlety mixed with rawness!
and I pursue you like a meteor!
flooding you with craters
as you flooding me with mine!

and we are sitting side by side
on a starlit sky
the lamps of our atmosphere

we orbit each other
as meteors and satellites...
