The Seed I Plant
A short poem that came to out of nowhere |
I plant this seed to watch it grow and provide everything it needs; pulling weeds to protect my love And giving water it needs to live. My tender care pays off; a tiny speck of green appears. First view of the world above. Time goes by as I watch it flourish. It stretches for the sun, growing tall, reaching high, the plant sprouts one small bud; A flower awaiting inside. It unfolds revealing the magic. The magic it held inside; this flower that I helped come alive. I look at my beautiful creation. Then I tear each petal off. . . One by one, until there is nothing left. |
