Gnome at The End of The Rainbow By Lisa Ann Noe Poem a day contest friday 7/20/12 2d prompt: use the words gnome and rainbow word count: 178 Line count: 35 The little gnome sits at the end of the rainbow, Reading by the glow. He’s chubby and sweet A beard white and neat. He lives in the garden, in a tiny little house, No larger than one, the size fit for a mouse. His eye-glasses slip down his nose on his face, They will never stay in place. The book displays his name in gold, It’s a perfect mold. The book holds the names of those who are good, And those who truly understood, That nature is precious and includes many things, From Animals and the beauty of gardens of green, And forests even hidden ones unseen. The waterfalls tumbling over the cliffs To the rainbow which up-lifts. Jolly little gnome he may be alone But he brings forth inspiration from his home. With nature and goodness he spreads some cheer He reminds me of the peaceful dear. |
