A Little Girl's Picture
by kymee
Rated: E | Poetry | Children's | #1882676
About a girl's emotions on a colored picture
A picture colored by a girl
Just the way she saw the world
Rosy cheeks and two big eyes
Her innocence was no surprise

A teardrop fell upon the face
The little girl gently placed
There was sadness in the eyes
Colored so to tell no lies

A picture worth its weight in gold
With her feelings not yet told
A child’s tears because of pain
Problems lurking just the same

She’s crying from the inside out
Fear engulfs her so she pouts
This child’s picture does reveal
The feelings that this girl does feel

Another picture with a smile
That’s how she feels for a while
A child’s truth is genuine
From my heart this picture’s mine
