Demon Dog
by Steve
Rated: E | Poetry | Horror/Scary | #1883509
There are coyotes outside my house at night and they make the most horrible sounds.
Howling dark Cerberus
demon of night
ne’er do I see where you hide
screaming and seeking
through unceasing shrieking
seeking an evening repast

horror and evil
imparts your foul shrill
your song makes me draw back aghast
O demonic dog
who daunts and who scares
who obscenely ensnares
all the darkest of fears
from what hellish lot do you spawn?

O demon, foul demon!
vociferous beast!
O demon, foul demon be gone!
