Fault
by Bertos
Rated: E | Prose | Comedy | #1883969
A short view of the world not meant to be serious.
Was it my fault they lost?
I spent countless hours training, refining my technique.
I reviewed hours and hours of film.
weaknesses of the other team seemed obvious.
The strengths of our team were well known.
Game planning was critical.
Execution of that game plan was the only variable.
Then the game started.
I followed the game plan precisely, when it happened.
I dipped the tortilla chip in the french onion potato chip dip,
which could not be more wrong. It threw me off,
I knocked over my soda and missed a play.
Not just any play but a touchdown.
I didn’t cheer; I missed the play; while trying to clean up the soda.
The other team scored, and then again.
We lost; it had to be my fault.
