A poem about learning to move on when someone you love is gone.
I took a step or two,
To move on today,
And even though I miss you,
I can finally smile and say,
I'm ready for something knew.

You were my best friend,
The laughter with the tears,
And even though it came to and end,
In my heart you'll always be near,
Until my heart joins yours again.

I'll never forget you,
On that you may be sure,
But my time with you is through,
And I'm ready for a cure,
That will make me feel new.

But just so you know,
I'll hold you close,
And tie my memories with a bow,
Cherished in my heart where I feel you most,
But my dear, its time for me to go!!
