American Reality
Rated: E | Prose | Opinion | #1886364
The plight of many american dreams, in the current economy. It is a tragedy.
A crooked hardwood door,
barren of furnishings and sunken floors.

Abandoned, lonely, lost in decay,
a house once beautiful,
owned by pride.

Now sits,
with paint peeling,
time revealing,
the years gone by.

A victim of economy
can only wait in agony.

As familys leave
in desperate flight.

A home once loved,
is now alone,
covered in dust and signs of rust.

With broken tears of glass,
this house does cry,
What happened to our dream?

This has become our reality.
