Mothers
The longer, more eloquent version of "Moms" |
| They have experienced sadness through failure joy through success and, at times, both. They have been pillars of support and pillows to cry on. They have watched us through birth puberty adolescence adulthood and on to where the cycle repeated itself. They have known life through the birth of children dreams hopes sickness through physical illness ruined dreams dashed hopes and death the end of life of hopes of dreams They have witnessed our reconciliation to God to country to our mates to our children and ourselves They have been there to help us through the the times of loneliness and despair the fear caused by separation and the soul-deep pain of divorce They have instilled in us the respect for God and country When discipline was needed or warranted they gave it without restraint but it was done out of love They taught us to stand on our own but when we needed advice or shelter they were there They loved us all even when we didn't believe it so when we remember them let it be with love.
