Intrepid Faith
Rated: 13+ | Poetry | Dark | #1895911
Softly, she does lie upon floor of scarlet...
Softly, she does lie

upon floor of scarlet;

counting time as slayer,

for to return.

Quickly, she scribbles

in her booklet;

longing words of

hope and concern.

Yet, in the distance

footsteps on the snow;

haunting memoirs

for young mind at play.

Curdled charm,

a love no longer aglow;

on heartstrings loneliness

always betrays.

Whispers of vengeance lie spilled

upon a smothered floor, forlorn.

Cozy feeling gone,

new autumn chilled.

In longest hour,

fate will be no more,

reborn.

She trudges through a thick fog,

with markings of decay;

flash gentle smile,

eternal smog,

her faith breaks

through the day.
