My Fear

Night is so dark a walk I must start.
It tears me apart racing all my heart.
Looking all around Nothing is found.
A presence I fear it is coming near.

I'm running now escaping somehow.
Out of breath and fearing my death.
So down I slow around me I know.
It is gaining ground without a sound.

I reach lights there's nothing in sight.
So finally I realize and talk to myself.
The fear was only my fear by itself.
I was scared a lot and nothing else.
