Boulders on Small Shoulders Dreams

Look with eyes wide open at this world indeed
Disappointed as caretakers at the mess we leave
Our children’s children will suffer from our greed
Guilt haunts us as their hearts soon begin to grieve

We must do something to make their grief depart
The legacies we leave them now are like boulders
Each with tears, lost promises and a broken heart
We must take the weight from their small shoulders

We all dream for our children to have the very best
Once a beautiful world that could have been theirs
It‘s up to us to correct things and pass humanity’s test
Destruction everywhere let them know we still care

Find a way to lend a hand to someone who is in need
Don’t be one of those that just simply refuse to see
To those you help today you plant a precious seed
A garden in you heart makes our children want to be
