"There are voices, no inferior to the messiah's, yet always unsung."

Lark

Every dawn of winter
As the last snowflake flies

Every dusk of winter
As the fiercest fire dies

Echoes the song of the lark
Amidst depths of the forest dark

In the still of midnight
As the lone moon disappears

Whilst the rise of twilight
As the brightest star fades

Fathoms the call of the lark
Silent depths of the forest dark

Beneath prickling and lifeless
Stars that unseeing stare

To whisper to the black abyss
And fade again; impassive, unaware

Summons the call of the lark
Faded light of the forest dark

Still from the embrace of shadows
As starlight silently stirs

Where twilight follows
The shadows of stars

Echoes the song of the lark
Amidst depths of the forest dark

In pale moonlight
As the stars awaken

In the ever youthful night
As the rhapsody rekindles

Pierces the call of the lark
Unbroken harmony of the shattered dark
