I thought I had finally found my one

Out stretches my arm
Cold and lonely is my hand
I'm searching for warmth
I'm searching for companionship
Does the emptiness go on forever
Is their another hand in the distance
Still I reach for love
It seems just beyond yet so far
Your fingertips I have gently touched
Intertwining fingers fit together perfectly
Nowhere left to reach but deep into you
Inside is such brightness and fulfillment
Wondrously I reach beyond
