The Storm
I wrote this while sitting on my porch durring a thunder storm

Looking around all to be seen is dark
the clouds have moved in
the lightning has begun to strike
the thunder rolls over head
as the rain drops trickle down
a light breeze can be felt
as the humid air sets in
the street lights come on
as the sun is hidden away
listening to the magnificent sounds of the storm
and seeing the fascinating light show above
my mind can wonder and become calm
though it seems the stormy night is sad
for me it brings refreshing comfort
a comfort which is shared,
shared by all the earth and it's plants
Nurturing is the wet of the rain
cooling is the cloud cover in the sky
around every light is an intriguing glow
the puddles get splashed about
as the wayward cars drive by
their are endless ways the lightning moves
this is the forces of nature showing off
creating with it's power
a unique vision with every part of the storm
