Purge the Sorrows
Late night all night walking a catharsis for healing

My life has come into calm clarity
once again
My spirit is at peace within
Why?
Why not?
Thumping not heard but happening
Yes
My heart beats steadily
Strongly
My will to live rises and falls cyclic
I walk in the damp chill of a night's ending
Within my breast a fullness pushes
e x p a n d s
I inhale
slowly
deeply
A peace settling
Though I don't smile outwardly
Inside my soul smile commands
I stop walking
and
I turn slowly
I feel freedom happening
past sorrows receding
Outside my eyes touch crimson outlined clouds
floating
My spirit flies to greet warm rays
erupting
Life is impressed in velvet color
Portending mossy venial splendor
Enjoy this harmony of sore soul
the future near
hither to
perforates vital force
Today
I'm no longer concerned
Tommorrow?
I may walk again to face a glorious dawn
and purge the sorrows within.
