In Momma's arms
I would hear her sing As she would rock me to sleep. For me to keep. Did I listen, Did I listen...Then? On Momma's lap I would watch her tie my shoes one by one. She would say, "You must be careful in this big world, My little son." Did I listen, Did I listen...Then? Holding Momma's hand She would point out the dangers of life. All along she was trying to build up my beliefs. Did I listen, Did I listen...Then? On my own I learned Momma was right about many things. The things she taught will help me find wedding rings. Yes, I listened Yes, I finally listened...Momma. Dedicated to my mom: A woman who tried so hard to lead me down the right path in life.
