Apocalypse
poem that uses nature to describe a very emotional loss of love

No love, it isn't raining.
Those drops are my tears.

No love, that isn't thunder.
The crash you hear is
my life crumbling to pieces.

No love, that isn't lightening.
It is my spirit fleeing to follow you.

No love, it isn't midnight.
The darkness I feel is eclipsing the sun.

No love, the earth isn't quaking.
That tremor is my heart giving
one last painful shudder.

No love, the wind isn't blowing.
The chill that you feel is jealousy's icy breath.

No love, the waves are not tossing.
It is my soul drowning
in cascades of despair.

No love, the world isn't ending.
It just seems like it now that
you're no longer there.
