In this place of shallow comfort
where I thought I stood alone, I have found a kindred spirit a place my essence feels at home. I know not what brought you to me, my heart, what cry it gave, for the beacon was not the lifeline, but the answer that was the save. In your unexpected friendship, your kind words, and gentle eyes I have a space of freedom where I need not adorn my guise. I feel peace when in your presence, strife and anger swept away. Your soft and easy smile always brightens up my day. While I cannot help but long for what fate did not align, I thank you for the cherished chance to love you for a time.
