Anger
anger at myself and at a lover

I am here in agony,
boiling with
wretched thoughts
and seething anger.

Where are you?
It makes no difference-
it isn't with me.

I needed you.
How could you forget?
I wait, knowing to my very core,
that you will not appear.

I could chase after you,
find you if I really searched.
But why should I beg?
Asking once should
have been more than enough.

When will I learn and
when will you see?
