Durlin
Living in the south so long, I pronounce darling as durlin

Durlin

I whisper out your name, my love
Amidst tumultuous skies
I will it to find your restless mind
For what, I know not why

The wind doth howl to block your sobs
The rain, to hide your scent
But still the "durlin" surges on
A love that's heaven sent

The veil of darkness is no match
The sense of you is strong
To draw me near, to you my love
It's right where I belong

The "durlin" dries your tears of sorrow
And melts your pains away
Replacing, by the love I feel,
The darkness into day
