My Garden
Short dark poem

Blue roses grow within the ivy and the green,
With thorns as sharp knives,
Which are rarely ever seen.
The walls are high, the brush is thick,
No way to get out,
My heart can take no more deceitfulness and doubt.

Take a walk through my garden,
Look for me under darkened stars,
Take a stroll through my garden,
You can walk the maze for hours.
Walk along the pathway,
Through the ivy and the blue,
Where every rose that grows,
Is just another shade of you...

Whisper the dark secrets,
The ones found only in the blackest of the moon,
Enfold me in your midnight eyes,
I fear my end is coming soon.
I stop and see before me,
Growing through the heavy brush,
One single blood red rose,
My eyes now know the truth.

Take a walk through my garden,
Look for me under darkened stars,
Take a stroll through my garden,
You can walk the maze for hours.
Walk along the pathway,
Through the ivy and the blue,
Where every rose that grows,
Is just another shade of you...
